Permeate water:

Also known as water production, water flux, refers to the capacity of the reverse osmosis system, that is, the amount of

membrane water per unit time, usually expressed in tons per hour or gallons per day (GPD). The amount of permeate is directly proportional to

the effective membrane area and is an important performance indicator for reverse osmosis membranes.

Operating pressure:

The standard operating pressure of the reverse osmosis membrane in the test environment. Unlike the reverse osmosis

system operating pressure, the reverse osmosis system operating pressure can refer to the operating pressure.

Recovery rate:

Refers to the percentage of water supplied to the produced water or permeate in the membrane system. The recovery rate of the

reverse osmosis system has been determined at the time of design and is based on the preset influent water quality. Recovery rates are usually

expected to be maximized in order to increase economic efficiency, but should not be precipitated as a limit in the reverse osmosis system due

to supersaturation of impurities such as salts. Recovery rate = (product water flow / influent flow rate) × 100%. Single membrane element water

reverse osmosis system, multiple reverse osmosis membrane elements can increase the recovery rate of the system, and the recovery rate of

large reverse osmosis engineering system can be as high as 80%.
